Ryan Ziggs & The Zags are a roots rock band formed in 2023 Pembroke Ontario. Comprised of vocalist Ryan Seegmiller, guitarist Nick McKay, bassist Jake Cancade and drummer Brandon Pelletier they blend the heartfelt lyrics of classic country with a backbeat that can be pulled out of the late 60's or the early 70's

Ryan grew up in a family of musicians and learned at fairly young age to play guitar and soon after found out he could sing. Slowly learning how to sing and play at the same time he found a passion for writing songs. Ryan would sit in his basement recording low quality demos on his phone of songs that any 15 year old with a guitar. Then covid hit and thats when Ryan really started to come together as a song writer. During this time Ryan would find his passion fr recording and producing music and would later attend college for music production.

After covid was when the band first began when Ryan and Nick met at work and both found each had a passion for music and began jamming in a run down garage at a abandoned sawmill. It wasnt long before the two guys figured they needed a drummer and called up Brandon to officially start the project. 

From recording in a garage to having those songs on the local radio station to playing the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Ryan Ziggs & The Zags are quickly making a name for themselves in the southern ontario music scene
